About the Role
Regent Strategics, in partnership with Persistent Systems, is hiring an experienced Java Developer to work across Intuit and Persistent offices in the US. This role is ideal for developers passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using modern Java frameworks.
You’ll work in a collaborative hybrid setup that values technical expertise, innovation, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Framework.

Implement Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate components for enterprise-grade solutions.

Build and consume RESTful APIs and work with GraphQL protocols.

Contribute to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and modular backend design.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and secure applications.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems for performance and scalability.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.

Follow best practices for secure coding, maintainability, and performance optimization.

Quickly adapt to new technologies and fast-paced environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications

6+ years of demonstrable experience in Java (Core Java, J2EE) development.

Strong hands-on experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.

1–3 years of experience with PHP or PHP frameworks (basic knowledge acceptable if willing to learn).

Proven ability in building REST APIs and integrating with GraphQL.

Proficient with version control tools (e.g., Git).

Strong understanding of Design Patterns and their practical application.

Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

Sound understanding of client requirements and business objectives.
